"TheCoverCollection.com" is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. All information we gather from you is used only to provide you with the product you have requested. We will never sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties. Should you not wish to continue with a cover at any time, all details you have already submitted will be destroyed and will not be retained on file. Should an author provide their email address to sign up to receive our Newsletter, we will use their email address for that purpose only. Customers who do not sign up for a Newsletter will not automatically receive one. You may unsubscribe from our Newsletter at any time. Your email address will then be deleted and no further Newsletters will be sent.
SITE USAGE
This website contains graphics which are owned by or licensed to us. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with our terms of sale. Unauthorised use of this material may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence. Your use of this website and any dispute arising out of such use of the website is subject to the laws of England and Wales.
PAYMENT
We shall commence the design of your ebook cover once payment has been received. Payment is by PayPal only at this time. PayPal also permit customers to purchase goods without having a PayPal account. You can purchase a cover through PayPal using a debit/credit card and are not required to sign in.
Should you pay for your book cover design using a PayPal e-cheque, we will not commence design work on the cover until we have received notification from PayPal that the e-cheque has cleared. This can be up to 10 working days.
Should you change your mind or no longer wish to continue with the sale for any reason, the original cover template will be re-uploaded to the website and offered once again for sale. Due to the nature of our product, once you have received your finished design by email and our copyright symbol has been removed, refunds will not be authorised. Should our images (or partial designs) be used online when payment for that design has not been received (or a refund has been processed), this may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS
We welcome customers from all over the world and are happy to discuss your ebook cover design requirements. Payment can be made via PayPal, who will convert your currency to GBP automatically.
DESIGN ATTRIBUTION
Attribution for any completed cover design is at the author's discretion. However, a false attribution (where shown) to anyone other than The Cover Collection is strictly prohibited.
AUTHOR COVER GALLERY
We reserve the right to feature cover designs we have produced in our author gallery and on social media websites for promotional purposes. Covers will generally have a link to the author's Amazon page or similar. Should you not wish your cover to be included in the author gallery, please let us know once your cover has been completed. We will then ensure your book cover design is not included in our gallery page. We guarantee that we will never show a cover design in the gallery or promote an author’s book before it is available online or the author has done a cover reveal.
USAGE OF TITLES, AUTHOR NAMES AND TAG LINES/QUOTES/REVIEWS ON OUR DESIGNS
All titles, author names and any tag lines or quotes/reviews used on our covers are fictitious and are for illustration purposes only. They have no connection to any person living or dead or to any prior publications. Any similarity in any of the titles, author names, quotations/tag lines or book reviews shown is purely coincidental and used simply to illustrate the design. All our illustrative text/quotations/taglines etc. will be replaced by specific cover information as requested and on the instructions of individual customers.
ADVERTISING AND PROMOTION
We advertise our premade cover designs though our social media accounts featuring dummy text (fictitious titles and author names) and our watermark. Some of our designs are also liked and shared (from both our website and our social media accounts) by people we do not know and accounts we do not own. We do not re-advertise/re-post a cover design once sold. However, an instance of the original watermarked advert graphic may remain, or have been shared by someone other than us. By purchasing one of our designs, you confirm that you understand this.
IMAGE USAGE
Images used on this website (where applicable) abide by Shutterstock's Licensing terms of use. All images (where displayed above the 800 x 600 pixel size limit), are covered by the licensing terms, whereby 1/3 of the original image is covered (whether by title, author or other text and/or by means of an overlaid texture image which is merged into the resulting .jpeg offered for sale) We guarantee we do not make available the original images and these can not be reproduced direct from our website, as per the terms of the licensing agreement. All ebook covers displayed on TheCoverCollection.com also have an embedded watermark image to deter copyright theft. Removal (or partial removal) of this copyright symbol by any party other than The Cover Collection staff is strictly prohibited.
The Cover Collection has either purchased the rights to use (or own outright) the images shown on all our ebook covers. You may sell up to 500,000 copies of any book cover design purchased on this website, as per the terms of the licensing agreement. Should your book become incredibly successful and sell more than 500,000 copies, the image used in that particular design would require an Enhanced license. The Enhanced license would be purchased by the author and is currently a one-off payment of approx. £60. This would then allow unlimited sales of your book featuring that particular image. Each of our covers is licensed for use on a single publication. By purchasing a cover from The Cover Collection, the author agrees that only one version of the cover will be uploaded once complete. Any reproductions of a cover purchased from us using the same design for further novels in a series is strictly prohibited.
UNUSED DRAFTS POLICY
We produce several different concepts for our custom cover designs. Once the author has chosen the particular design concept they wish to use for their cover, we reserve the right to upload any remaining cover concepts to our premade section on the website (only when they in no way resemble the custom cover the author has purchased). This will not happen with premade cover drafts, only our custom cover designs.
FEEDBACK AND COMMENTS
We reserve the right to use positive feedback and comments from emails/social media on our testimonials page.
CANCELLED ORDERS
Should we create a set of drafts for your premade book cover based on the information provided on your submission form, and you subsequently cancel your order (after your cover drafts have been created and sent to you), we reserve the right to provide you with a 50% refund of your purchase price. The cover will then be reuploaded for sale and we would ask that you delete all files already received relating to your order. If you change your mind and wish to cancel your order prior to any completed drafts being received by you via email, we will refund your order in full.
LICENSING ON AUTHOR'S OWN IMAGES
When an author has provided their own images for a custom made book cover design, those images must be licensed for commercial use. The responsibility to ensure they can be used on book cover designs lies with the author and not with The Cover Collection. By using our design services, you agree that all licensing and permissions have already been granted on images you provide us to work with. No responsibility is held by The Cover Collection on images provided by the customer that may be incorrectly licensed. This does not apply to premade book cover designs. The Cover Collection assumes full responsibility for images used on our premade ebook covers, print covers and audiobook cover designs as well as custom book cover designs where we have purchased the images. The details provided in this section apply to custom made book covers using images provided by the customer.
RESTRICTIONS
We will not produce book covers that portray images of sexual violence or gore.
